• RoHS Directives
The European Union passed the “Restriction on Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment” (RoHS Directives 2002/95/EC) to ensure that, from 1 July 2006, new electrical and electronic equipment put on the market does not contain lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). 2011/65/EU(ROHS2.0)released by European Union from 1 July 2011 and had been carried out since 3 Jan 2013, at the same time the 2002/95/EC was repealed. Halo Micro products meet the above latest RoHS requirements.
• REACH
The European chemicals regulation REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals, regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) provides a key regulatory framework for the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemical substances on the European market and therefore exerts considerable influence on the procurement and usage of chemicals. As compliance with REACH requirements is indispensable within our supply chain for ensuring reliable delivery. All Halo Micro products fulfill the criteria for articles in accordance with the REACH regulation.
• Halogen Free
Advanced to use Halogen Free material for all products from beginning of 2009 (Br≦900ppm, Cl≦900ppm, Cl+Br1500ppm), For Halogen Free products, Added a HF logo with Pb free, RoHS compliance logo in packing label.
• 2004/12/EC of 11 February 2004 amending Directive 94/62/EC on packing and packing waste
The sum of heavy metals of concentration levels on lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium present in packaging or packaging components shall not exceed the following: 100ppm. Halo Micro products meet the requirements of the above directive.
Conflict Minerals Policy
Halo Micro strives to prohibit the use of “conflict minerals” exported by the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries.
Such conflict minerals comprise tungsten, tantalum, tin, gold, cobalt and mica, which directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups that violate the human rights of their citizens. Halo Micro’s suppliers shall observe Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct(RBA) and purchase materials only from suppliers responsible for the environment and society.
The suppliers shall conform to the requirements of the conflict-free minerals, and cannot purchase and use conflict minerals.
The suppliers shall purchase metals from smelters and refineries certified by RMAP, and smelters and refineries not certified by RMAP must be removed from the supply chain.
Labour, environment, health and safety, and ethics policies
Labour policy
Abide by labor laws and regulations, prohibit forced labor, child labor, coercion and harassment, discrimination, and respect freedom of association.
Health and safety policy
Strictly comply with relevant laws and regulations, effectively control the sources of safety and health risks, and provide a healthy and safe working and living environment for employees. Ensure that the drinking water, sanitation, fire safety, lighting and ventilation of the workplace meet the requirements of regulations, take appropriate measures to minimize the hazard factors in the working environment on the basis of compliance with regulations, and conduct regular health checks and training.
Environmental policy
Strictly comply with relevant regulatory requirements, obtain necessary environmental permits, approval documents and registration certificates, maintain and update them regularly, legally dispose of solid waste and control the use of hazardous chemicals. Formulate scientific and feasible emergency plans for environmental emergencies, and organize emergency drills to ensure environmental safety.
Ethical policies
The company always follows the laws and regulations, business operation mode and customs of the country where the business is conducted. When the ethics, customs, laws and regulations of these countries conflict with the philosophy that the company stands for, the company will seek to be consistent with the ethics that the company stands for.
